Lukas Martinelli is the GM of Search at Mapbox. Every interaction of a map starts with a Search and the Mapbox Search API powers the world’s largest companies serving billions of requests per week.
Lukas joined Mapbox in 2017 after developing several popular open-source tools for map developers and publishing his thesis on creating vector maps from open data. He has an extensive background in developing distributed systems for processing geospatial data and serving them to hundreds of millions of users. At Mapbox Lukas has been the driver of some big step-changes over the years by launching products in new geographies and building the systems that measure Mapbox’s data quality and update it every day.
