What do you like best about the leadership team?
They're communicative about the direction of the business and our financial situation
Accessible, easy to talk to, and willing to listen. They are growing and evolving as the business changes. Those who have joined in the past year are amazing.
Our leadership team walks the right balance between being honest yet energizing, and between involving us in company business while also doing their job and letting us focus on ours. It's not a small startup anymore, and I feel I can trust our executives to steer the ship.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They need to operate more strategically.
Stop talking about how to make this equitable and do it.
Work on communication and explaining the "why" of strategy better. Understand the current job market is super-competitive and do more to retain the employees you have.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The salary is extremely competitive in my country
Salary, stock and healthcare benefits are very good.
Benefits are super strong. Time off and leave programs are great. Total rewards are continuously evolving with business need.

Really great package of benefits, thoughtfully put together and supported. Fair compensation, especially with remote work being allowed.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Leadership has targeted engineers who are paid at market value and have been systematically removed to reduce overall costs and instead hired less competent engineers.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is filled with extremely skilled, highly intelligent people who really know how to get work done and how to cooperate
Team spirit, great collaboration, supportive feedback and genuine caring for each other.
Smart, dedicated, willing to go the extra mile, true team players. Fun!
Many of the actual engineers are talented.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
A "no-fault" culture that focuses on learning from mistakes and building connections across teams
Innovation and teamwork are at the forefront
The people are extremely supportive
The people at Mapbox are very positive. We're still figuring out how to build connection and culture virtually, some teams do it better than others, but people want to be here are making effort to connect with each other. I appreciate that the most.

Focus on being truthful to customers, businees partners.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Having different interviews meant each one could focus on different aspects of a normal workday and that there was time to discuss and know about the values of the company

Variety of people involved in the interviews.
Getting to talk to different team and roles.
It was very efficient, but not rushed. I felt like I had enough time to get to know the team and company, but I didn't have to wait ages to hear back.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Too much tech bro questions. Not enough push to identify problem solving and in innovative thinking.
What makes you most happy at work?
My colleagues, they're the best
Learning and improving programs and systems.
I love hearing stories about how our customers are using our tools. It is very inspiring and energizing to hear about what we are making is being used, and the real impact it has in the world.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Remval of executive team and diversify inestments to spaces you can actually compete in. Google and Apple have superior products.
