Melissa has spent the last 20+ years focused on People, Culture, Operations and Recruiting in technology companies. She started her recruiting career building out tech orgs for small, scaling start-ups in Seattle. Most recently she spent 10 years at Google building and growing the Seattle area offices and 4.5 years as a Director at Facebook leading recruiting initiatives and a technical recruiting org of 450+ people globally.
She started at Mapbox in 2021 as VP of People supporting HR, Recruiting, DEI, Learning and Development and Internal Communications. She specializes in culture change at scale, loves to fix things, enjoys innovative experiments, coaches leaders and develops people systems that fit and expand with the challenges of fast growth.
