Dr. Madhukar Reddy, Ph.D., has been Vice President of Central Engineering at MaxLinear, Inc. since January 2012. Dr. Reddy served as Vice President of Radio ICs & Systems Engineering at MaxLinear, Inc. from November 2006 to March 2014. He has more than 15 years of engineering and management background in RFIC Design and System-on-Chip products with Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, Conexant Systems and Skyworks Solutions, all in Newport Beach, CA. While at Rockwell, Dr. Reddy was involved in the design of first generation CDMA handset transmitter RFICs. At Conexant Systems, he led the CDMA & WCDMA RFIC Design group, responsible for design of second generation transmitter and receiver RFICs for high volume CDMA2000 handsets. At Skyworks Solutions, as the manager of the GSM RFIC Design Group, Dr. Reddy was involved in the development of GSM Direct-Conversion Radio Transceiver ICs, used by many of the world's top-tier handset makers. He has been a member of the Technical Program Committee of the IEEE RFIC Symposium since 2005. He is a co-recipient of the prestigious IEEE Microwave Prize for his research publication on sub-picosecond, millimeter-wave instrumentation. Dr. Reddy received his M.S. & PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a B. Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, India.
