Mr. G. Richard Dodge, Jr. has been a Partner of Mayer Brown LLP since December 22, 2011. Mr. Dodge served as a Partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP in Washington. Mr. Dodge served as an Associate at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP. He served as a Secretary of Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar from 2000 to 2001. He participated in the internal review of an insurance company under investigation by the Office of the New York State Attorney General and other state and federal governmental entities. He participated in the internal investigation of two open-end investment companies, an investment adviser, and an issuer of variable life and annuity products with respect to their market timing and late trading practices and procedures that were under examination by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Dodge assisted in the successful defense of a market conduct putative class action on behalf of a large issuer and individual annuity products. He also assisted in the defense of an ERISA class action on behalf of a large issuer and individual variable annuity products that served to fund employee benefit plans. Mr. Dodge holds J.D. with American Criminal Law Review from Georgetown University in 1998, B.A. in School for International Training, Harare Zimbabwe from Drew University in 1991.
