Executive Bio
Mr. John D. Ferrell has been Partner of the Banking and Finance Practice Group at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP since August 2006. He has been a Managing Director of Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch and has also headed his own investment banking firm, specializing in private equity transactions. He also served as Partner at Sullivan & Worcester LLP. Mr. Ferrell served as a Partner of the Finance & Bankruptcy practice group at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP since August 2005. Prior to Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, he served at White and Case in New York. He has represented a wide variety of commercial and investment banks and other financial institutions, ranging from Citigroup, Merrill Lynch & Co. and CIT Group, to several local and regional banks. Mr. Ferrell received his law degree from Columbia University School of Law School in 1969 and a B.A., cum laude, from Harvard University, as a National Merit Scholar, in 1966.
