Executive Bio

Ms. Kathleen D. McElligott, also known as Kathy, has been Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President of McKesson Corporation since July 20, 2015. Ms. McElligott is responsible for all technology initiatives within McKesson. Ms. McElligott guides the overall technology direction for McKesson's healthcare technology products and provides support and guidance for application development processes companywide. Ms. McElligott served as the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Information Technology at Emerson Electric Co. from February 2010 to July 20, 2015. Ms. McElligott was responsible for Emerson's information technology strategy for Emerson's global operations, including hardware, software and services, as well as its telecommunications and data center infrastructure. Ms. McElligott has deep IT experience and has shown initiative and strong leadership since joining Emerson a decade ago. Ms. McElligott joined Emerson in 2000 as vice president of information technology for the Emerson Power Transmission division. In 2003, she was promoted to Vice President of Information Technology for the Industrial Automation business, a title she held until her promotion to Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining Emerson, Ms. McElligott spent 22 years with General Electric Company, holding multiple information systems leadership roles, including Chief Information Officer of supply chain for GE Aircraft Engines and IT manager of the Cycolac business of GE Plastics. She has been a Director at ArcBest Corporation since July 28, 2015. During her time in St. Louis, Ms. McElligott served as Board Member, President and Resource Development Chair for Connections to Success, an organization that encourages disadvantaged men and women to achieve economic self-reliance. Ms. McElligott was also a member of the board of trustees for Fontbonne University, the industry advisory council of Washington University, board member for the St. Louis Chief Information Officer Board and a Council Member for the Dell CIO Advisory Council. Ms. McElligott received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science at Kent State University and a master's degree in business management from Xavier University.
