Mr. Daniel Patrick Shannon, also known as Dan, serves as the Executive Vice President of Professional Services at Medidata Solutions, Inc and served as its Senior Vice President of Professional Services since January 2011 and vice president of implementation services since June 2005. Mr. Shannon is responsible for leading a global team that supports over 300 Medidata clients, delivering quality services that span from product configuration and best practices to guidance for clinical development efficiency through Medidata software use and innovative process change. Mr. Shannon joined Medidata team in 2005. Mr. Shannon served positions with IBM Business Consulting Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting (PWCC) and Schering-Plough. Mr. Shannon began his clinical research career as a Scientist Designing and Delivering Preclinical and Phase I trials, followed by several years of consulting pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations on best practices in clinical development. Mr. Shannon has over 20 years of pharmaceutical research and development experience. He has BA in chemistry from Rutgers University and holds an MS in Environmental Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
