Mr. Michael Kagan co-founded Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (Also known as Mellanox Technologies, Inc.) in 1999 and has been its Chief Technology Officer since January 2009 and Vice President of architecture since January 2009. Mr. Kagan served as Vice President of Architecture at Mellanox Technologies, Ltd since May 999 until December 2008. Mr. Kagan served as Vice President of Architecture at Mellanox Technologies, Ltd from May 1999 to December 2008. He managed the architecture team of the Basic PC product group from July 1996 to April 1999. He built and led a highly qualified architecture team of 25 top experts in microprocessors and system architecture and also led architecture and development of various Intel processors. He managed the design of the Pentium/MMX processor, setting the benchmark for developing clean products and record-fast ramps to production. While at Intel Corporation, he managed Pentium MMX design, from March 1993 to June 1996. He served as Chief Architect in Basic Microprocessor Division, where he was responsible for definition of an entire PC platform (microprocessor, chipset and graphics accelerator) for next-generation products targeted at low cost market segment. Mr. Kagan was responsible for both architectural definition of next generation Intel products and directing the design team to assure effective implementation and he has 16 years of experience in leading architecture, design and validation of VLSI products at Intel. He held a number of architecture and design positions at Intel Corporation from August 1983 to April 1999. He served as Chief Architect of i860XP processor and was a key player in major architecture task forces at Intel (i386, i486, Pentium and PentiumPro platforms). He served as Team Leader in 64-bit architecture instruction set definition team and definition team of Intel's next generation Massively Parallel Processing computer. He earned the highest distinction award by Intel - the Intel Achievement Award - for the i860XP microprocessor design in 1991. He holds 6 patents on processor architecture, micro-architecture and system designs with 4 patents pending. Mr. Kagan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
