Mr. Adam H. Hodes has been the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and Senior Vice President at MetLife, Inc. since joining in September 19, 2011. Mr. Hodes oversees a team of professionals that are focused on identifying strategic transactions that can have a positive impact on MetLife's businesses and financial performance. He served as the Managing Director of Sagent Advisors Inc. Previously, he served as Senior Executive of WellChoice Inc. He spent over fifteen years advising insurance and other financial services companies on strategic and capital raising transactions. He has been a senior investment banker. Most recently, Mr. Hodes served as a Senior Vice President of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation. He also spent seven years at Salomon Brothers Inc. From 2001 to 2004, he held senior industry positions as Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategic Planning at CNA Financial Corporation and Vice President of Long Term Financial Planning at WellChoice, Inc. In those positions, Mr. Hodes managed over fifteen transactions in the life insurance and property/casualty sectors. He served as a Director of Credit Suisse First Boston. He served as the Managing Director in the investment banking department of Credit Suisse Securities, LLC, where he also served as a Co-Head of financial institutions M&A. He joined Credit Suisse in 2006 and responsible for supporting its financial institutions group on transaction execution, idea generation and best practices, with a specific focus on insurance companies and asset management firms. Mr. Hodes received a J.D. degree from Columbia University Law School in 1987 and a bachelor of science degree in economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1984.
