Executive Bio

Mr. John Arthur Hall has been Head of Investor Relations and Senior Vice President at MetLife, Inc. since June 2016. Mr. Hall manages and coordinates the presentation of MetLife's financial results and business strategies to the analyst and investor community. Mr. Hall served as a Managing Director and Senior Insurance Analyst at Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, Research Division until May 2016. Mr. Hall joined Wells Fargo Securities in 2005 and led a team of analysts covering the life insurance and property and casualty insurance within the financial services industry in the equity research department. Prior to this, he served as a Senior Analyst at Wachovia Securities LLC, Research Division. Earlier, Mr. Hall has held Lead Equity Analyst positions at Deutsche Bank AG, Research Division and Prudential Equity Group, LLC, Research Division. Prior to starting his career on the sell side, he worked in business planning and financial analysis at John Hancock Financial Services. Mr. Hall has more than 20 years of experience as a sell-side equity analyst. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Securities, he held lead equity analyst positions at Alex. Brown & Sons and Prudential Securities. He served as President of the Association of Insurance Financial Analysts. He served on the board of directors of the Association of Insurance Financial Analysts. In 2012, Mr. Hall was recognized by The Wall Street Journal for stock picking in the property and casualty insurance sector as well as in prior years for both the life insurance and the asset management sectors. He earned his MBA in Finance from the Rutgers Graduate School of Management in 1990 and is BS in Accounting from Rutgers College in 1986.
