Michel A. Khalaf — President of U.S. Business & EMEA at MetLife

Mr. Michel A. Khalaf has been President of U.S. Business & EMEA at MetLife, Inc. since July 11, 2017. Mr. Khalaf served as the President of EMEA at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company since November 2011 until July 11, 2017. He served as the President of the EMEA Division and President of the U.S. Business at MetLife, Inc. since November 21, 2011 and July 1, 2017 respectively and served as its Chief Executive Officer. He served as the President of MetLife S.A. He served as Deputy President and Chief Operating Officer at The Philippine American Life and General Insurance Company. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Amplico Life S.A. Since joining Alico's Investment Department in 1989, he has held a number of leadership roles in various markets around the world including the Caribbean, France and Italy. Mr. Khalaf was named the first General Manager of Alico's operation in Egypt in 1994. In 1996, he assumed the position of Regional Senior Vice President in charge of Alico's life, pension and mutual fund operations in Poland, Romania and the Baltic countries. He serves as the Chairman of MetLife Emeklilik ve Hayat A.S. He has been the Chairman of The Board at Deniz Emeklilik ve Hayat A.S. since October 3, 2011.
