Executive Bio
Dr. Thomas J. Koob, PhD Co-founded KeriCure Inc. in 2011. Dr. Koob has been Chief Scientific Officer of MiMedx Group, Inc. (alternative name MiMedx Inc.) since March 2007 and served as its Executive Vice President. He is inventor on the patents that are the basis of MiMedx, Inc.'s license agreement with Shriners and the University of South Florida. As Section Chief of Skeletal Biology at Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa from June 1992 to August 2006, he developed and patented core technology. He is employed at Alynx, Co. He has published over 125 biomedical and biological articles and 12 book chapters. He completed four years of post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School and four years of specialty training in the Laboratory of Skeletal Disorders, Department of Orthopaedics at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
