Dr. John T. C. Lee has been Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President at MKS Instruments, Inc. since November 1, 2016. Dr. Lee served as a Senior Vice President of Business Units at MKS Instruments, Inc. from January 2014 to November 1, 2016. Dr. Lee served as Senior Vice President of Controls, PFMC and HPS Products at MKS Instruments, Inc. from November 2011 to December 2013. Dr. Lee served as Senior Vice President of Controls and PFMC Products at MKS Instruments, Inc. since January 2011 until November 2012. Dr. Lee served as Group Vice President of CIT Products from October 2007 to January 2011 and Group Vice President of Controls and PFMC since January 2011. He served as Group Vice President of Control, Information Technology & Ion Systems Products at MKS Instruments Inc. since October 2007. He joined MKS from Applied Materials. Dr. Lee served in Applied Material's Solar Business Group as Managing Director of the Factory Technology, Projects and Solutions Integration Group from February 2007 to October 2007. He served as General Manager of the Cleans Product Group and the Maydan Technology Center at Applied Materials from 2002 to 2007. He joined Applied from Lucent Technologies, where he served as Research Director of the Silicon Fabrication Research Department from 1997 to 2002. From 1991 to 1997, he served as a Member of Technical Staff in the Plasma Processing Research Group within Bell Labs. Dr. Lee has been a Non-Executive Director of SiXtron Advanced Materials, Inc. since August 14, 2008. Dr. Lee holds a B.S. from Princeton University and both an M.S.C.E.P. and Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, all in Chemical Engineering.
