I felt that people were actually looking at who I was, not just my skillset - looking for the personality traits I have that make me good at what I do, not just whether I worked at Google or whatever.
We have multiple rounds of interviews that help focus our search, and have both engineering and management interview candidates. An applicant tracking system, used consistently by our internal recruiting team, make it much easier for us to hire good candidates.
Meeting multiple people from different disciplines and hearing about their experience at the company
I liked meeting several different people, and that each interview was relatively short and to the point.
While it was a pain to have many steps to getting hired, I now realize how important it was to find a person that would be a good culture fit and have the skills to be successful at Modus and working with our clients. Also, the team is very open and honest in the interview process.
