  • To view the Monthly View of the calendar in the Moment app:

    On theCalendar tab in the Moment app, tap the two horizontal lines below the name of the month to view theMonthly Calendar View.

    Dots indicate that there is an event on a particular day. Triangles indicate that there is a holiday on a particular day.

    Tap on the specific day to see the events on that day.

    Swipe up to hide the monthly view. You will see the list of events.

  • In the bottom bar, make sure that you are on the Posts tab.

    Below the top orange bar, you will see a box that shows your profile photo and says, Whats on your mind? Tap in that box to create a post.

    Then, tap the Video icon.

    In the top orange bar, choose to either take a video or choose a video.

    After choosing to take a video, you will land on a camera screen that provides the option to add a flash, flip the camera around, or take a video.

    After taking a video, you can preview the video by tapping the, Play button, or you can tap the Retake video button or the Use Video button. The Use Video button will add the video to a post.

    Once you land on the, Create Post screen, you can add a subject and the message for the post, as well as choose the class to which to post.

    Tap the green, Post Now button, when you are ready to post.

    If you tap on the blue plus sign to add more photos, you can add a maximum of 10 photos. Simply select the photos that you wish to post, and then tap, Next in the top right corner.

    Once you tap, Next in the top right corner, you will land on the, Edit screen. You can choose each photo and rotate the photo using the orange rotate button. Once you are ready to post, tap, Done in the top right corner.

    This will take you to the, Create Post screen where you can add a subject and the message for the post, as well as choose the class to which to post.

    Tap the green, Post Now button, when you are ready to post.

  • You can view all the photos within a post by tapping on the body of the post. This will take you to the, Post Detail screen, where you can scroll down to see all the photos within that post.

    Another option would be to tap on one of the photos of the post to go to the single view of the photo.

    Then, scroll to the right to view all the photos for that post.

    If you continue scrolling to the right, you will see photos from other posts within that same class.

  • Troubleshooting tips

    The Ring/Silent button is in silent mode and is muting sounds. If the switch shows orange, it means your iPhone is in silent mode.

    Turn your volume higher by pressing the + sign on the right side of your iPhone or by going to Settings -> Sounds and under Ringer and Alerts, slide the volume up.

    Open Settings > Do Not Disturb and check that Do Not Disturb is off.

    Turn off Bluetooth to make sure that your deviceisn'tsending audio to a Bluetooth accessory. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn off Bluetooth.

    Restart your device by turning your device off and turning it back on.

    Confirm that you are using the latest iOS version. To check for available software updates for your iPhone, go to Settings -> General -> Software update. Follow the onscreen instruction to complete the update, if available.

  • For iPhone users only

    Go to Settings on your iPhone.Scroll down to your apps.

    Tap on Moment and make sure that your settings for Photos is, Read and Write.

    After confirming this, please open the Moment app.

    Tap the the photo you wish to download.

    Tap the Share icon in the the top right corner.

    Tap Save Image

  • Someone has invited you to their family and you no longer want to be a part of it. You can remove yourself on the web.

    To leave a family on the web

    Login on Moment.com

    Click on your profile photo

    Click on Family

    Select the family that you want to leave

    Click on Caregivers

    Click on the pencil icon next to your name

    Click on Leave This Family

    Once you leave the family

    You will be removed as a caregiver from each student's classYou will no longer receive emails or push notifications from MomentYou will no longer be able to view that family's classes in the app

    This cannot be undone.

  • Additional caregivers can be added to your family so that they can view classes and send in-app messages. Invite your spouse, the nanny, relatives, etc.

    To invite a Caregiver in the app

    Click on the Posts tab

    Click on the profile icon at the top left

    Select your family

    Click on Add New Caregiver

    Fill-in the caregiver's information

    Click on Add Caregiver. The caregiver will receive an email to register to join your family in the app.

  • You can be part of multiple classes. By default on the Posts tab, you'll see a list of all the classes newsfeeds combined.

    To view a specific class' newsfeed

    1. Click on the orange bar at the top of the app that says "All Classes"

    2. Select the class

  • Students can be manually added to a class by the School Admin. This will bypass registration.

    To add a student to a class

    Login to your Admin Dashboard on the web http://moment.com/schools

    Select your organization

    Select the class

    Click on Add Student

    Enter the students info

    Click Add Student

    The Caregiver has been sent an invitation to view your class in the Moment app. By bypassing your registration, the Caregiver hasnt been charged for the class on Moment nor have they agreed to your organizations TOS. You may want to reach out to them to have them do that separately.

    To remove a student from a class

    Select the class

    Select the student(s)

    Click on the red trash can to Delete Students

    That student will no longer be enrolled in that class and therefore, the Caregivers will no longer be able to access that class in the app.

  • Link a Google Calendar to the app to keep everyone on the same page. When you make changes to an event or add an event on the Google Calendar a push notification will be sent.

    To connect a Google Calendar

    Login to the Admin Dashboard http://moment.com/schools

    Select your Admin Dashboard

    Select the class

    Click on Teacher Dashboard

    Under Events click on Add Calendar

    Connect your Google account

    Choose an account

    Click Allow

    Select the calendar and click Next

    To disconnect a Google Calendar

    Login to the Admin Dashboard http://moment.com/schools

    Select your Admin Dashboard

    Select the class

    Click on Teacher Dashboard

    Click on Change Connected Calendar

    Click on Connect another Google account

    Click on I will do this step later.

    If you refresh the page and see an Add Calendar button, then your calendar has been disconnected.

  • Moment uses Stripe to process secure credit card transactions.If you would like to use Moment for class registration, you will just need to enter a class price. Parents will have to pay to enroll in classes with a price. If you leave that field blank, parents will be able to join your class for free.

    Connect your Stripe account so that Moment can transfer the funds to you. Its fast and easy. In your Admin Dashboard, click on Add Stripe Account and follow the prompts.

    To enable registration for an existing class:

    Login to Moment https://moment.com/schools

    Select the Admin Dashboard of your organization

    Select the class

    Click on Edit Class

    Select Class Price

    Enter a price

    Click Save Changes

    To enable registration for a new class, create a class by following these steps:

    Login to Moment https://moment.com/schools

    Select the Admin Dashboard of your organization

    Click on Create New Class

    Fill in the information about the class

    Click on Class Price

    Enter a price

    Click on Create Class

  • Admins and teachers can delete posts from the newsfeed after they've been posted.

    To delete a post

    Click on the three dots to the right of the post

    Click on Remove Post / Delete

    This cannot be undone.

  • Posts can be written ahead of time and saved to be posted at a scheduled date and time. The post can be edited before it is posted.

    To schedule a post

    Login to your Admin Dashboard on the web http://moment.com/schools

    Select the Dashboard of your organization. If you're an Admin, select the class. Click on Teacher Dashboard. If you're a Teacher, you are already in your Dashboard.

    Click on Create / Schedule Post

    Select the class(es)

    Write the subject and message

    You now have three options:1. Post Now - posts immediately2. Save as Draft - saves the post so you can edit later3. Schedule Post - allows you to select a date and time in the future of when you would like the post to be made

    Click Schedule Post

    Enter the date and time

    Click Schedule Post

  • If you take registration via Moment, you can apply a discount on your class price or create promotional codes for people to apply when they check-out.

    Discounts: A sale price applied to your class price that everyone will get without having to use a promotional code in the checkout.

    Promotional codes: A code that consists of a series of number and letters that one would have to enter into the promo code field in the checkout in order to receive the % or $ off the class price.

    To create a discount

    Go to your Admin Dashboard http://moment.com/schools

    Select the Admin Dashboard of your organization

    Click on Go to Discounts and Promotions

    Click on Create Discounts

    Fill-in information

    Click on Create Discount to apply the discount immediately to your class price

    To create a promo code

    Go to your Admin Dashboard http://moment.com/schools

    Select the Admin Dashboard of your organization

    Click on Go to Discounts and Promotions

    Click on Create Promo Code

    Fill-in information. The promo code can be a series of numbers and letters. The description will display in the checkout once applied so be as detailed as possible.

    Click on Create Promo Code.

    Share promo code with your customers so that they can use it when they checkout.

  • In the Admin Dashboard, you can add one student at a time or upload a CSV to bulk add students.

    Using Excel, create a CSV with the following columns:

    Student's firstname

    Student's lastname

    Email

    Caregiver firstname

    Caregiver lastname

    Go to the Admin Dashboard

    Select the Admin Dashboard of your organization

    Select the class or create a new class

    Click on Add Student

    Click on Upload CSV File

    Select the CSV from your computer

    Click on Open. You'll see a list of all the students and emails in the fields.

    Click on Add Students and Send Confirmation Emails

    Caregivers will receive an email inviting them to join. Their names will appear on the Unconfirmed list. Once they have registered and downloaded the app, they will automatically be moved to the Enrolled Students list.

  • The teacher or administrator only gave access to a specific email address. You must login using that email address in order to access the class in the app.

    How do I find out which email address they invited?

    Look for an email invitation from Moment. The body of the email will say which email address has access to the class.

  • If you are a registered member of Moment, you cannot edit your email address. However, you can add your new email address as a caregiver and then remove your old caregiver account.

  • Admins, teachers and parents can post photos and videos to the feed. You can take a photo or video using Moment or upload an existing photo or video. Upload up to 10 photos or upload one video at a time.

    Click on What's on your mind?

    Fill-in the subject line and body

    Click on the Photo or Video icon

    Click on the Camera icon to take a photo or videoorClick on the Photo icon to choose a existing photo or video from your phone

    Click Done

    Click Post Now

  • You can send the Caregivers a bill and charge their card on file on a scheduled day. Caregivers will be notified that their card will be charged on that day. If they don't have a card on file, they will be prompted to enter one.

    Send them a bill for any extra expenses during your program: supplies, trip costs, lunch, membership fees.

    Click on QuickPay

    Click on Create QuickPay

  • In iOS 11, Apple is replacing the JPEG image format with the new HEIC alternative. HEIC is the file format name Apple has chosen for the new HEIF standard. HEIF stands for High Efficiency Image Format, and, as the name suggests, is a more streamlined way to store image files. Using advanced, modern compression methods it allows digital photographs to be created in smaller files sizes, all while retaining higher image quality than its JPEG alternative.HEIC cannot be opened on a MAC or PC or uploaded to Moment.   • Classes cannot be deleted. However, you can archive a class. Archiving a class will remove it from the app and Moment page. Parents and teachers will no longer be able to message each other.Only you as an Admin or Teacher will be able to see it in your Admin Dashboard.

    To archive a class:

    Go to your Admin Dashboard http://moment.com/schools

    Click on Admin Dashboard

    Select the class

    Click on Edit Class

    Select Archived Class

    Click on Save Changes

  • An organization can have multiple admins to oversee all of the classes. Each class can have a different teacher(s).

    Teachers have the following permissions:

    Make and delete posts

    View roster

    Manage the calendar

    Direct message other teachers, admins and parents in the app

    Admins have the following permissions:

    Same permissions as Teachers

    Create, manage and delete classes

    Add, remove, and move students

    Add and remove teachers

    Change information about the organization

    To assign a new teacher or admin login to your Admin Dashboard on the web

    Go to http://moment.com/schools

    Select your organization

    Click on Teachers/Admins

    Click Add Admin

    Enter the info for the teacher/admin

    Click Add Admin/Teacher

    This person will be sent an invite to join your organization on Moment. Admins have a blue icon next to their name.

  • You can send a direct message to a teacher, parent or groups of people in the Moment app. This cannot be done on the web.

    To message someone in the app

    Click on the Chat button

    Click on the pencil icon (top right hand corner)

    Select recipient(s)

    Click Done (top right hand corner)

    Type your message

    Click Send

    Alternatively, you can go the the roster and click the message icon next to the teacher or parent you would like to message

    Select additional recipients (if desired)

    Click Done (top right hand corner)

  • Once a class has reached its capacity the waitlist is automatically enabled.

    To take students off the waitlist and offer them a spot in the class

    Select the class

    Click on Waitlist

    Click on the envelope icon to the right of the students name to Invite Off the Waitlist

    The Caregiver will be sent an invite to enroll in the class. A reminder will be sent every 7-days for 3-weeks or until they enroll.

    To delete a student from the waitlist click on the red trash can icon.

    To resend an invitation click on the bell icon.

  • Registered students can be moved to another class within your organization. To do this, login to your Admin Dashboard on the web http://moment.com/schools

    Select your school

    Search for the students name

    Select the student

    Click on the right arrow to Move to Another Class

    Enter the name of the class

    Click on Move

    The student has now been moved to the other class. You and the Caregivers will be sent an email confirmation of this change.

  • Your lastname is displayed as your family name in the app. If you would like to change the lastname that is displayed, login to your account on the web. This must be done on the web as you cannot do this in the app yet.

    To change your Family name:

    Click your profile picture and select Family

    Click the gear icon to the right of your Family Name

    Type the name you want to use

    Click Done to save

  • You can add unlimited Caregivers to your Family. Feel free to add your husband, wife, mother, father, aunts, uncles, nannies, and au pairs.

    You can assign certain Caregivers to certain classes. Up to 10 Caregivers from your Family can be assigned per class.

  • Teachers and school admins can make Important Posts in case there is a matter of urgency in which the caregivers need to be alerted immediately.

    When an Important Post is made caregivers are alerted in two ways:

    1) a push notification is immediately sent to everyone in the class through the app2) an email is sent immediately, including all the details of the Important Post

    To make an Important Post in the app

    a) click on the Posts button at the bottom of your appb) click on What's on your mind?c) select the class or multiple classes in which you'd like to post (you must be an admin of the class)d) add the subject line and body of the postd) select Important Poste) click on Post Now

  • Different caregivers can be assigned to different students in different classes. If you are a Primary Caregiver you can add or remove caregivers from a class.

    To Add a Caregiver to a Class on your Desktop

    Select your Family

    Select the student's class to go to the class details

    Scroll down to your enrolled student

    Click on the number of caregivers. A pop-up like the one below will appear

    Click on Add Another Caregiver

    Enter their information and click on Invite Caregiver

    To Remove a Caregiver from a Class on your Desktop

    Select your Family

    Select the student's class to go to the class details

    Scroll down to your enrolled student

    Click on the number of caregivers. A pop-up like the one above will appear

    Unselect the checkmark next to the caregiver's name

    Click Done

  • A Primary Caregiver helps to manage your family, in addition to viewing and interacting with classes. A Primary Caregiver is able to:

    Add/remove caregivers from the family

    Add/remove caregivers from the class

    Rename family

    Add/remove students

    Manage students profile

  • To purchase a class when your student is already enrolled in the class:

    1. Click the Buy button on the Class Detail page.

    2. Under Family Info, click the Select Student button.

    3. You will notice that your student is already enrolled. Click the Add Different Student button.

    4. On the Add Student screen, add the First Name, Last Name, Birth Date, and Gender of your student. You may also complete the Health and Behavior Notes, as well as the Medical Information and Other Notes. Click the orange Add Student button.

    5. When you return to the Select Student screen, you will notice that you have two students that have the same name. This is fine for now. Choose the student that you just created and click the orange Done button.

    6. Check the box to agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use of the organization, if this box is presented.

    7. Click the Reserve Seat button, which will take you to the Add Payment Method to create input your credit card information.
