Mr. James E. Braun, also known as Jim, has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of MRC Global Inc. since November 15, 2011. Mr. Braun served as Chief Financial Officer of Newpark Resources Inc. from October 2006 to October 31, 2011 and served as its Vice President since October 2006. He served as Senior Vice President of Newpark Resources Inc. until October 31, 2011. Before joining Newpark, Mr. Braun served as Chief Financial Officer of Baker Oil Tools, one of the largest divisions of Baker Hughes Incorporated. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Charles & Colvard Ltd. He served as Vice President of Baker Hughes Incorporated since December 1997 and served as its Controller since 1993. He also served as Principal Accounting Officer of Baker Hughes Incorporated. He served as a Vice President of Baker Petrolite Corporation. From 1981 to 1993, he served at Deloitte & Touche LLP. He was Partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP since 1991. From 1998 to 2002, he served as Vice President of Finance and Administration of Baker Petrolite, the oilfield specialty chemical business division of Baker Hughes. He served as a Director of Baker Petrolite Corporation. He is a Certified Public Accountant. He received a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
