Mr. Scott A. Crum has been the Chief Human Resources Officer of MSCI Inc. since April 2014 and serves as its Managing Director. Mr. Crum served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief People Officer at Avon Products Inc. from September 17, 2012 to May 2013. Mr. Crum served as the Chief People Officer and Senior Vice President at Motorola Mobility Holdings, Inc. from December 2010 to September 2012 and Motorola Mobility LLC from July 2010 to September 2012. Mr. Crum served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Mobile Devices and Home Business at Motorola Solutions, Inc. from July 19, 2010 to January 2011. He served as Director of Human Resources and Senior Vice President of ITT Defense, a subsidiary of ITT Corporation. He served as Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources at ITT Inc. (alternate name, ITT Corporation) from October 29, 2002 to July 9, 2010 and also served as a Member of its executive council until July 9, 2010. Mr. Crum had been responsible for global leadership and coordination of human resources policy and strategy. Prior to that, Mr. Crum served as Corporate Vice President, Motorola Corporation Broadband Communications Sector since 2000. He served as Senior Vice President/Head of Administration and Employee Resources at General Instrument Corporation from April 1998 to 2000. From December 1997 to April 1998, Mr. Crum served as Vice President, Administration and Employee Resources of General Instrument Corporation. Mr. Crum became Vice President of Administration and Employee Resources of the Distributing Company's Broadband Networks Group in July 1996 and continued in this position for General Instrument Corporation after the Distribution until December 1997. He served as Vice President of Human Resources for the Distributing Company's Communications Division from July 1995 to July 1996. From May 1995 to July 1995, Mr. Crum was Director, Human Resources and Administration, Dallas Sites, for Northrop Grumman Corporation's Commercial Aircraft Division. He served as Director, Continuous Improvement Systems for Northrop Grumman Corporation's Commercial Aircraft Division from November 1992 to May 1995. He served as Corporate Vice President of Human Resources for Motorola's Latin America Region and Corporate Vice President, Technical & Employee Support for the Broadband Communications Sector of Motorola. He started his career in 1978 at Dresser Industries and then in 1984 joined LTV Corporation, where he spent 11 years, culminating with a role as Director of HR and Administration. In 1995, he joined General Instruments Corp., where he held senior HR positions across a number of its divisions and ultimately the top global HR position. He served as vice president for the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association Board of Directors. He served as the Chairman of the Montgomery County, Pa. Walk for Juvenile Diabetes in 1998 and 1999. Mr. Crum holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Industrial Relations from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
