Tom Gwydir — Chief Technology Officer and Managing Director at MSCI

Mr. Tom Gwydir serves as Chief Technology Officer and Managing Director of MSCI Inc. Mr. Gwydir is responsible for the Technology Services at MSCI which includes about one-thousand technology professionals spread across eleven distinct subdivisions. He serves as a member of the Executive Committee at MSCI. He serves as Managing Director of Platform Services at UBS. Mr. Gwydir serves as an Advisor of Vii Network, Inc. He has a strong communication and collaboration skills combined with diverse and deep architecture, development and infrastructure background. Mr. Gwydir is experienced in driving technology organizations to meet their full potential. Prior to joining MSCI, he spent 30 years working as a technology professional across a variety of disciplines: Product development, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and Data Management, Platform Engineering, and eCommerce. He has held the following posts and responsibilities: Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Global Head of Infrastructure Engineering, Global Head of Fixed Income Technology, Chief Architect, and Head of Development for various companies including Merrill Lynch, Dun & Bradstreet, Wachovia Securities, Asurion Insurance Services, Magna Software, and Ernst & Young. Mr. Gwydir has a Bachelor of Science from Columbia University School of Engineering.
