I enjoy the working at the company and the team I am a part of, but the opportunities are extremely limited and innovation is lacking. As with many companies that have many life long employees in senior roles, there is a bit of an echo chamber vibe which causes lack of innovation and progress.

My team and the comraderie we share is what makes me most happy at work.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The team members truly enjoy the work environment. My supervisor fosters open communication, transparency, and proactive feedback. My team is amazing.

The interview process was transparent and completely relevant to the role I applied. The people who interviewed me were knowledgable communicative and positive about their experience.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone here believes in the mission, values, and culture of Mutual of Omaha and actively works to make it better. I feel completely comfortable bringing my whole self to work.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team truly wants the best for the employees and business which is a big part of what makes Mutual of Omaha great. However, many of them only have an insider view of the organization and are a large part of why there are outdated systems, policies, and processes still in place.
