Dr. Jerry S. Lanchbury, Ph.D. has been a Chief Scientific Officer at Myriad Genetics Inc. since Februray 2010. Dr. Lanchbury served as an Executive Vice President of Research at Myriad Genetics Inc. from July 2005 to February 2010 and Senior Vice President of Research and Development since January 22, 2003. Dr. Lanchbury joined Myriad Genetics in September 2002. Dr. Lanchbury developed DNA-based analysis techniques for investigating the genetic basis of complex diseases with a focus on rheumatoid arthritis and related conditions. Dr. Lanchbury served as Researcher in Molecular Immunogenetics and Head of Molecular Immunogenetics Unit at GKT School of Medicine, King's College since 1997. Dr. Lanchbury is a highly respected expert in immunogenetics with more than 100 reviewed research journal publications. Dr. Lanchbury holds First-Class Honors (B.Sc.) in Biology of Man & his Environment from the University of Aston, Birmingham, UK. Dr. Lanchbury holds Ph.D. in population genetics from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and subsequently completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the United Medical & Dental Schools of the University of London in Human Disease Genetics.
