Most employees identify closely with the goals of the Democratic Party, and are tightly knit as a result. The downside is that morale is extremely low, not only because of the 5 years of devastating election losses, but because of poor management decisions visible to everyone. On a personal level, performance expectations are low, and short of committing felonies within the company, nobody gets fired. That's good if you want job security, not so good if you want to find meaning in your work.
