John K. Lines — Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at National HealthCare Corporation

Mr. John K. Lines serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of National Healthcare Corp. Mr. Lines is also responsible for legislative activities as well as investor and public relations. He joined National Healthcare Corp. in September 2006. He served as a General Counsel of Trinsic, Inc. and Counsel at the law firm of Schiff Hardin LLP from May 23, 2005 to August 2006. From 2001 to 2003 he served as General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Business Development Officer for Voyager Systems, Inc. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Lines served General Counsel, Secretary and Vice President of Business Development/Investor Relations for Sorrento Networks, Inc. Prior to that, he was the Assistant General Counsel of Quest Communications International from April 2003 to May 2005. Prior to April 2003, he served as General Counsel to several companies including Sorento Networks, Inc. From March 1998 to February 2000, Mr. Lines was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of ResortQuest International, Inc. He was General Counsel and Secretary of Insignia Financial Group, Inc. from 1994 to March 1998. He also served as Vice President and Secretary of Insignia Properties Trust from 1996 to March 1998. He was an associate with the law firm of Squire, Sanders and Dempsey. From May 1993 to June 1994, Mr. Lines was employed as Assistant General Counsel and Vice President of Ocwen Financial Corporation, a unitary thrift holding company. From October 1991 to April 1993, he was employed as Senior Attorney of Banc One Corporation in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to that, he was in private practice with Squire Sanders & Dempsey in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Lines has a B.S. in both Accounting and Finance from Purdue University and a J.D. from Indiana University-Bloomington.
