Executive Bio

Mr. John P. Moroney, also known as Pat, has been President of the Arizona Division at The New Home Company Inc. since January 2016. Mr. Moroney has 30 years of homebuilding experience. He served as Division President of Phoenix at Standard Pacific Corp. (now known as CalAtlantic Group, Inc.) and served as its President of Phoenix - Arizona and Divisional President of Denver - Colorado. Mr. Moroney was involved in the Arizona homebuilding industry for much of his professional career. He served as President of Arizona division at Standard Pacific Corp., since May 14, 2003. Since May of 2001, he has served as President of Taylor Woodrow Homes (formerly Journey Homes) in Phoenix. At Taylor Woodrow, he successfully established Standard Pacific Corp. as a new builder in the Phoenix market, and helped prepare it for future growth. Before that, he served as President of the Phoenix division of publicly held Meritage Homes, and was responsible for the local start up and operations for this national builder. A highly experienced homebuilding executive, Mr. Moroney served as President of Continental Homes of Florida, a division of homebuilder D.R. Horton from 1995 to 1999, and prior to that he served as Vice President of land acquisitions for Continental's Southern California division, based in San Diego, from 1993 to 1995. He has experience in Florida and Southern California, is an Honorary Life Director of the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona. Mr. Moroney is a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Arizona Home Builder Association. He received his Bachelor of Science in Resource Management from Northern Arizona University.
