Mr. Gerald R. Sanders, MAI, MRICS serves as Executive Managing Director of Newmark Knight Frank (formerly, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Capital Group). Mr. Sanders serves as the President of Landauer Valuation & Advisory, a division of Newmark Knight Frank. Mr. Sanders is responsible for overseeing every aspect of the Newmark Knight Frank's national practice, including business development, client relations, portfolio management , quality control, compliance and professional development. Mr. Sanders heads business development and institutional client relations for Landauer. He also provides national leadership for best practices and collaboratively optimizing resources across practice groups and service lines. Mr. Sanders served as a Member of Executive Board of Landauer Valuation & Advisory at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Capital Group since September 2012. His service lines include portfolio valuations for annual financial reporting, acquisition due diligence, purchase price allocations, cost segregation studies, project development, accessing capital markets, retail, hospitality, health care and hospitals, maximizing the value of real estate assets to the corporate enterprise, litigation and disposition strategy. Additionally, Mr. Sanders serves as a liaison between Landauer and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank leasing and investment sales teams as well as NGKF Capital Markets. Mr. Sanders has over 25 years of specialized real estate valuation and consulting experience. Prior to re-joining Landauer in 2010, Mr. Sanders worked for Grubb & Ellis managing the valuation practice from 2007 to 2010 and providing high profile litigation support. From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Sanders built Weiser Realty Advisors as one of the founding members and managed portfolio valuation audits. He also managed teams that valued partial minority interests in limited partnerships, joint ventures and limited liability companies as an expert in the discounts taken for both lack of control and marketability. Mr. Sanders worked with Landauer Real Estate Counselors and was responsible for the management of CBD office and industrial valuations throughout the country. He is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors; Mortgage Bankers Association; International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries; and the Real Estate Board of New York. He is a General Certified Appraiser in multiple states. He is an MAI Member of The Appraisal Institute. Mr. Sanders holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University.
