At Nexthink, giving back to our communities is an important pillar of who we are and that’s why all our Nexthinkers can benefit from 3 days as paid leave to volunteer each year.
The program
It's now time for Nexthink to give back in order to have a sustainable growth impact. Today, as part of its core mission, Nexthink will bring Technology, Work and People together to make a positive social impact on its community. The more we grow, the more hours we will have as paid leave to volunteer.
The results of our analysis for Scope 1 and 2 were encouraging. As mentioned, since Nexthink does not own or control any buildings, energy generators or vehicles, our direct emissions are equal to zero.
As for the indirect emissions from Scope 2, only the energy consumption of our offices was considered. In this category again, our emissions were low thanks to specific renewable energy contracts in offices in Paris, Lausanne and London, but also due to the COVID crisis which drastically reduced Nexthinkers’ presence at the office.
Our next step is to complete the calculation of Scope 3 by the end of H1. As mentioned above, this part of the analysis is more complex and will require considerable efforts and collaboration across departments to complete. Our emissions are also expected to be more important in Scope 3.
The final results of our carbon footprint analysis will help us understand where our major emissions come from, highlight our areas for improvement and guide our emissions reduction targets for the next years.
As for 2022, we have already set the objectives to:
Power 80% of our offices with renewable energy
Implement emission reduction targets to be reached by 2030
Approve an energy efficiency plan in 70% of our offices
