Leadership varies greatly at this institution. Some leaders truly advocate for their staff while others just do as their told with no regard to how their directives impact operations, morale, or ethics. Crucial decisions usually come from people who have little to no daily interaction with students.
They gave me competative pay, hours, and bonuses. I was given time off whenever I needed it and was not penalized for it. I am also a student so they made sure my grades were kept up as I worked after classes.

They step in for me if I need to call out sick so none of us slack on our work and our boss is still satisfied
It is diverse and we speak many languages so we can help a variety of students and get work done faster if there are less barriers
It was very personalized and there were no straightforward yes or no questions, I was allowed to describe as little or as much as I wanted
I love my boss and coworkers, they make me laugh and our environment is very laid back and not an intense place
As a state organization, NOVA remains bureaucratic and political. Teamwork, fresh ideas, and innovation should be encouraged and rewarded.
