Executive Bio

Chris Moser is the Executive Vice President of Operations for NRG Energy, Inc. In this role, he oversees all Plant Operations, Commercial Operations, Business Operations and Engineering & Construction. Prior to this role he served as Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, where he was responsible for the optimization of NRG’s wholesale generation fleet.

Before joining NRG in April of 2008, Chris held positions of increasing responsibility in various regions at Dynegy Inc. At Dynegy, Chris most recently served as Managing Director, Midwest, where his responsibilities included the monetization of Dynegy’s MISO and PJM portfolios.

Before Dynegy, Chris held a range of positions in Washington, DC for organizations including the Sawyer/Miller Group, the World Bank and the Safe Energy Communications Council. Chris has a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and a bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College.
