Mr. Toby Farrand serves as a Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Ooma Inc since June 2006. Mr. Farrand oversees all of ooma's technical development, manufacturing and engineering. He has spent over 20 years creating technologically advanced products, from personal computers and video game consoles, to satellite networking systems and home broadband media centers. An employee at Apple Computer for 10 years, he served as the Engineering Manager for Apple's graphics and audio products and later as the Manager of Apple's PowerPC product development group and served as a principal designer, managing hundreds of engineers. He has a range of experience in new product categories with integrated hardware and software systems, consumer appeal, and high-volume low-cost manufacturing. He then joined 3DO as Vice President of Engineering and oversaw the development of its game platform. He also founded BroadLogic and served as its Chief Executive Officer, followed by five years at Digeo where he served as Chief Technology Officer. He holds a BS and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
