Edward M. Fortunato — Senior Vice President of Government Relations at Orbital ATK

Mr. Edward M. Fortunato, also known as Ed, has been Senior Vice President of Government Relations at Alliant Techsystems Inc. since December 2014. Mr. Fortunato leads government relations activities at the federal and state level for ATK. He interacts with U.S. government customers in the legislative and executive branches, including Congress, the Department of Defense, NASA, and other federal agencies. He also interfaces with key industry leaders, partners and associations in the defense, aerospace and sporting sectors. He previously worked in the Honeywell Global Government Relations office and served as Vice President of Washington Operations for the Advanced Turbine Engine Company (ATEC). Mr. Fortunato is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in operational, acquisition and legislative assignments. He served as the Secretary of the Army's representative to Congress for aerospace and defense weapon systems and for the development and management of legislative strategy, acquisition and program policy. In this capacity, he worked with, and was Military Advisor to, numerous Senators and Representatives in key leadership positions on the defense committees. Mr. Fortunato earned an MBA with honors from The George Washington University, and a BS in Business from George Mason University.
