Mr. Michael A. Kahn, also known as Mike, has been an Executive Vice President and President of Defense Systems Group at Orbital ATK, Inc. since February 9, 2015. Mr. Kahn served as a Senior Vice President at Orbital ATK, Inc. (formerly known as Alliant Techsystems Inc.) from April 1, 2012 to February 9, 2015. He served as an Executive Vice President and General Manager of Launch Systems at ATK Space Systems Inc. Mr. Kahn served as President of ATK Missile Products group since August 2010 until March 2012. Mr. Kahn served as an Executive Vice President of the Aerospace Systems group. A 22-year veteran of ATK, Mr. Kahn has held a number of executive level leadership positions across a variety of programs and operations, including the Vice President, General Manager of ATK's prior Launch Systems group. He has an extensive background in aerospace and rocket motor propulsion. He was responsible for overseeing the management of the ATK group's space, strategic defense and commercial programs and their related operations. He was instrumental in transitioning the ATK group's Space Shuttle program to NASA's next generation exploration systems. received a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester and MBA from Pepperdine University.
