Executive Bio
As the Head of Research and Development for Organon, Sandy Milligan is leading the advancement of a differentiated portfolio of medicines and solutions to help women and all patients live a better and healthier every day. In her role, Sandy oversees the organization’s scientific, medical and regulatory capabilities in support of its diverse portfolio and long-term vision. Before joining Organon, Sandy served as Merck’s Senior Vice President and head of Global Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Safety. Previously, she served as Vice President of Product Development Regulatory for Genentech, and from 2002 to 2012, she was at Amgen in positions of increasing responsibility across legal and regulatory affairs functions. Sandy served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps from 1987 to 1994. With a deep commitment to fostering diverse leadership, Sandy has served as co-sponsor of the Merck Women’s Leadership program.
