He joined Western in 1996, He served at U.S. Bancorp, as an Executive Vice President from 1991 to 1996 and as a Senior Vice President from 1985 to 1991. He serves as the Chairman of the Board at Pacific Western Bank. He served as Vice Chairman at First National Bank (San Diego, CA), a wholly owned subsidiary of First Community. He has been a Director of PacWest BanCorp. since 2000. He serves as a Director of Pacific Western Bank. He served as a Director of Guaranty BanCorp. from April 2004 to August 3, 2010. He served as a Director of Southern California Bank and Santa Monica Bank, which are subsidiaries of Western Bancorp. He served as a Director of Western Bancorp. since 1996. Mr. Wagner holds a B.S. Degree from the University of Nebraska and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado.
