But we also understand that not everyone is convicted of the crimes that they are alleged to have committed. Others have agreed to pleas or have been found not guilty, served their time and want to move on with their lives.
To request removal of your name from an arrest report article,please send an email to [email protected]. Please see t his article for our requirements. Our legal/content removal team will process your request and get back to you within 2 weeks.

Job listings that were posted before May 29th will expire and may be reposted by creating a classified and selecting job listing as the category. Job listings can now be promoted to nearby communities for just $1 per day in every community you choose.
View ArticleAnnouncements have been merged into a brand new type of post called Classifieds. Existing announcements have not been deleted, just recategorized. You are still able to post announcements by posting a classified and selecting announcement as the category.

Login to my.patch.com.
Click the menu icon in the top right corner.
Click profile settings.

If you want to contact your local editor, there is an envelope icon at the bottom of every Patch community Page. Hover over the open icon to reveal the Patch email (it will appear in a little box) and/or click the icon to send them an email.

If you do have an account, follow these steps:
Post an event :
Click the green "Post" button on the home page of your local community, then click the "event" tab.
Enter the date and time for when your event is happening. Your event will be on the calendar until the time of your event.
Let people know where your event will be held.
Describe your event! You can write as much as youd like here.
Choose an image for your event. Ideal image size is 1200x900 pixels.
Click Next, then either click Post or read below to see how to promote your event in nearby areas.
PROMOTING YOUR EVENT: you can promote your event for $1 per day per Patch. Your event can be highlighted for up to 30 days before your event on the top of the calendar, on the Patch homepage, on article pages, in email newsletters, and on Facebook. Choose nearby communities to share your event in as well as your home Patch, select the dates you'd like your event to be promoted for, then click Next to add your payment information and post.
Post a classified :
Click the green "Post" button on the home page of your local community, then click the "classified" tab.
Choose which category of classified youre posting.
Write a headline for your classified. Keep it under 100 characters!
Write details about your classified in the text box.
Choose an image for your classified. Ideal image size is 1200x900 pixels.
Click Next, then either click Post or read below to see how to promote your event in nearby areas.
PROMOTING YOUR CLASSIFIED: You can promote your classified for $1 per day in every community its shared to. Your classified will be highlighted on Patch pages, in email newsletters and on our social pages. Choose some nearby communities to share your classified to, as well as your home community, choose when you'd like your classified to be promoted, then click Next to add your payment information and post.
Post an article:
Go to my.patch.com/start
Click Write an Article
Select where you would like your article to appear within your home Patch
Write a headline for your article 65 characters or less. Keep it concise!
Write a subheadline. Whats a quick summary of what your article is about?
Choose an image for your article if youd like. Ideal image size is 1200x900 pixels.
Write your article! We have several tools to help with formatting your article how youd like.
You can either save your post as a draft (this allows you to come back to it later if you want to add more) or post it right away. Currently, there is no way to preview your article before you post but luckily you can always go back and edit your article as much as youd like.
View ArticleTo view what you've posted on Patch, head on over to your profile page. To get there, log in, click your name and photo in the top right corner to reveal the menu, then click View Profile.
Once you're on your bio, use the drop down menu to choose between Posts, Events, Classifieds, and Articles.
View ArticleIf you don't already have a Patch account and would like to post, follow the steps below:
Go to https://patch.com/register or click "Sign up" in the top right corner of Patch.com
Enter your town or zip code and select your nearest Patch site from the drop down menu that appears, then enter your email address and click "Find your community."
Enter your first and last name, then create a password and click "Create profile."
Congrats! You are now able to post neighbor posts, events, and classifieds.
If you'd like to post articles on Patch:
After setting up your account, click "get posting" to begin verification.
Indicate if you're a regular person, business, or nonprofit and choose how you'd like to submit your application:
Verify with Facebook to be approved to post immediately
Verify manually to have your submission reviewed by our real human moderation team(NOTE: we approve users as fast as we can, but in some instances this may take up to 24 hours)
Click the verification link in your email, and you'll be all set to start posting articles!

Jobs can be posted as classifieds by choosing the "job listing" category when creating your post.
View ArticleUsers can now only change their preferred community once every 7 days. This ensures that the people in a Patch and the information distributed stays hyperlocal.
If you want to change your preferred community,here's how you do it:
Log in to your account.
Click the profile photo icon in the top right corner.
Click "Edit profile".
Enter a new town in the box that says"Home community".
Click Update Profile.

View ArticleThe best time to look for your ad is between 6-9 AM, as that is when viewership to the Patch site is highest. When in doubt, please feel free to email your account manager with any questions. We will check on your campaign and run a report as needed.

View ArticleTo get your business listed in your community's directory, you'll first need to set up an account. To do this, click "Sign up" on the homepage of Patch.
Once you've set up your account, be sure to click "Get Posting" to set up your verified business account.
The next page will have a drop down asking if you're an individual, business, or nonprofit. Select that you are a business, and then either verify your account through Facebook (instant) or manually (may take up to 24 hours).
Once your account is verified to post, clickand then "Post." You will be redirected to the page where you create your business listing. You must complete your business listing before you can post events, classifieds, or jobs.
Your business listing will show up under Local News > Local Directory.
