Executive Bio
Mr. Daniel M. Elkort has been Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Pattern Energy Group Inc. since August 2013. Mr. Elkort serves as an Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Pattern Energy Group LP and served as its Director of Legal Services. Mr. Elkort manages Pattern's legal department and co-manages the project finance team. He oversees all aspects of Pattern's in-house legal team focusing on corporate legal compliance as well as transaction structuring and implementation, due diligence, document review and liaison with outside counsel. He manages debt sourcing, debt and equity legal and commercial transaction terms and transaction documentation. Mr. Elkort served as Senior Legal Officer at Babcock & Brown's North American Infrastructure Group. With over 20 years of industry experience, he has directed or supported the legal aspects and the financing of numerous renewable and conventional power projects as well as transportation equipment. He has successfully navigated the legal documentation of breakthrough debt and equity transactions in wind, solar and facility leasing. He holds a Juris Doctor from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
