Mr. Charles A. Burggraf, Chuck has been Senior Vice President of Global Safety of Peabody Energy Corp. since June 22, 2011. Mr. Burggraf served as Group Executive of Illinois and Indiana Operations at Peabody Energy Corp. from May 30, 2006 to June 22, 2011. Mr. Burggraf served as Group Vice President of Technical Services of Peabody Energy from July 2005 to June 22, 2011, and was responsible for engineering, environmental, safety, operations analysis, process improvement and maintenance. Mr. Burggraf served as Group Executive of Colorado Operations of Peabody Energy since August 2004 and was responsible for the Twentymile Coal Company's Twentymile Mine near Oak Creek and development of additional coal reserves in Colorado, and have responsibility for the Seneca Coal Company's Seneca Mine near Hayden following a transition period. Mr. Burggraf served as Operations Manager of Twentymile Mine, and he is a registered professional engineer with 26 years of mining experience in a variety of senior safety, engineering and operations positions, including 16 years with RAG American Coal and predecessor companies. Mr. Burggraf holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville.
