Terry L. Bethel serves as Senior Vice President of Resource Development of Peabody Energy Corp. Mr. Bethel served as Senior Vice President of Resource Management & Real Estate Development of Peabody Energy Corp. since October 19, 2007. Mr. Bethel served as Vice President of Real Estate Development of Peabody Energy Corp. until October 19, 2007. Mr. Bethel has more than 25 years of finance and real estate development experience with Peabody. He also served as Vice President of Finance and Administration of Peabody subsidiaries in Henderson, Ky., and Charleston, W.Va., as well as Vice President and Controller and Vice President of Administrative Services of Peabody in St. Louis. He joined Peabody in 1981 as Senior Accountant. Prior to joining Peabody, he served as an Audit Manager of Lattimore, Black, Maggart & Welch and a Senior Auditor of Price Waterhouse, both in Nashville, Tenn. Mr. Bethel is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Murray State University.
