
The Diversity score provides insights into how diverse employees feel and rate their work experience at Petal across various culture dimensions.
We are committed to making sure our members’ voices are represented by hiring people with a broad and diverse set of experiences and backgrounds. This is a lifelong pursuit for us, and we’re nowhere near perfect, but we’re determined to be the change we want to see in the financial industry.
Our Engineering team is 40% women. Our tech teams all together are 40% women, and our full team is about 52% women.
A couple of our DEI initiatives are below:
-Focusing on hiring equitably and creating extremely fair interview practices and processes
-Staying accountable and releasing quarterly internal reports around the specifics of our process
-Appointing a DEI Officer who administers an audit of our People practices periodically
-We have rolled out a number of training programs and have created monthly, team-wide meetings that are optional for anyone to join to share, listen, and connect around inclusion and diversity areas.
Our team has developed a number of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
