Christopher P. Collins CFA — Principal of Biotechnology Investment Banking Group at Piper Jaffray Companies

Mr. Christopher P. Collins, CFA has been a Principal of Biotechnology Investment Banking Group at Piper Jaffray Companies since June 18, 2014. Mr. Collins joined Piper Jaffray from Citigroup, where he was a director in the healthcare investment banking group focused on biotechnology companies. He previously worked at Credit Suisse, CPC Capital Management, Frazier Healthcare Ventures and Morgan Stanley. Mr. Collins was an Associate of Frazier Healthcare Ventures since 2006. He joined Frazier in April 2003 as an Analyst. Mr. Collins was based in the Frazier's Seattle office and assisted with the review of biopharma investment opportunities. From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Collins was a Financial Analyst in Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division. Most recently, he was a Financial Analyst in the West Coast Healthcare Corporate Finance Group where Mr. Collins covered medical device, pharmaceutical, medical information services, and biotechnology companies based in the western United States. While there, he advised clients on merger, acquisition, restructuring, and financing opportunities. Prior to that, Mr. Collins was a Financial Analyst in Morgan Stanley's Leveraged Finance Group where he assisted with originating, structuring, and executing public and private debt transactions, including corporate bonds, bridge facilities, and credit facilities with concentration specifically on speculatively rated corporations. He also worked with Glencoe Capital as a Vice President. Mr. Collins holds a C.F.A. and is an acting member of the C.F.A. Institute and the Seattle Society of Financial Analyst (SSFA). He holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and a Master's Degree in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University.
