What do you like best about the leadership team?

The leadership team is smart, kind and driven.
The leadership team is excellent. There have been some tremendous hires this past year to support our co-founders & CEO; truly top notch talent who are bringing process, structure and accountability across the organization.
The co-founders are legit visionaries. Space Systems and software leaders are really strong.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Self awareness. Learning the commercial earth observation business.
Need to understand and accept that there is competition out there
Fundamental management soft skills. Some folks have it from prior roles, many do not.
Management, strategy, hiring, underatanding their customers
Not firing people with ideas that are different from theirs.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Equity grants, good total comp packages
Commission rates are very good
It meets industry standards for my role type
Fair comp + bonus + equity upside
Very generous benefits package, base salary and bonus structure.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Need 401K match, charitable donations match, fitness subsidy. Annual RSU grants
Paying people what they are worth
Planet often brings in tenured employees, under-levels them when compared to market. There is no real career growth. Rampant favoritism and office politics is often what leads to office promotion. You may see a 2 year experience person and 20 years experience person in the same team
What are some of the best things about your team?
small, efficient team without too many meetings
Diverse group, all working hard to advance a shared company mission.
Really smart people that are collaborative and fun to work with.
Everyone gets along well, works hard and is committed to our mission as a company and as a team. While folks are relatively new, and we've been primarily working remotely, we have built camaraderie and genuinely enjoy each other.
Smart people. Dedicated. Believe in the mission.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Don't get bullied by malevolent management and executives. Stand your ground or quit
Toxic culture, classic high school mean girl behavior, gaslighting
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Passion and focus on the mission.
Supportive team, managers and cross-functional partners. Everyone is learning quickly and works hard to win together.
People are friendly and there's a big emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
Nothing. The culture is vindictive and negative.
Generally speaking, we do a good job recognizing people. I am sure we could do better, but it's not terrible.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Culture needs to change, he process needs to be better to weed out toxic management
What did you like most about the interview process?
Enough opportunity to get to know the people and ask questions
You get to talk to a lot of people and get a good sense of what it's like to work there.

Seeing our imagery published in major news storylies and scientific journals.
Every day, I get to do meaningful work. I'm challenged, yet having impact. While the company is in a growth phase, we're adequately resourced, yet don't have bureaucracy or overly burdensome process. More than anything, however, I really enjoy my coworkers.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
They don’t listen to customers. Only care about the satellites. Customers say the data is garbage but no one will believe them. The good news is the person who designed the sensors recently left and he didn’t know what he was doing and constantly worked around product and the custom
