George McNamee — Co-Founder & Chairman at Plug Power

Mr. George C. McNamee is a Co-founder of Plug Power Inc. Mr. McNamee served as a Managing Partner of FA Technology Ventures. He also Co-Founded FA Technology Ventures. Mr. McNamee has spent much of his career working with emerging growth technology and new energy technology companies as a mentor, founder, venture investor and Board Member. He served as a Co-Chief Executive Officer at First Albany Companies Inc. till 2002. He joined First Albany in 1969. Mr. McNamee has been the Chairman of the Board of Plug Power Inc. since June 1997 and its Director since 1997. He serves as the Chairman of the Board and Director of First Albany Enterprise Funding, Inc. He serves as Director of Adapt Media, Inc. Mr. McNamee serves as the Chairman of First Albany Companies Inc. since 1984 and Chairman of First Albany Corp. from 1995 to September 2002. He served as the Chairman of META Group Inc. from 1984 to 2002 and Director from August 1996 to May 24, 2004. He serves as a Director at Autotask Corporation, MetaCarta, StreetEasy, Inc. and CORESense. Mr. McNamee serves on the Yale Development Board. He served as a Director of iRobot Corporation from August 1999 to May 25, 2016. Mr. McNamee serves on the Board of Directors of the New York State Science and Technology Foundation and the New York Conservation Education Fund. Mr. McNamee was a Member of the Board of Directors of New York Stock Exchange Inc. He served as a Director of Mapinfo Corp. from 1988 to November 14, 2003 and META Group Inc. from August 1996 to May 24, 2004. Mr. McNamee also served as the Chairman of Mechanical Technology, Inc. He also served as a Director of Broadpoint Capital, Inc. Mr. McNamee received a B.A. from Yale University.
