Executive Bio
Mr. Faris Sweis has been the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Developer Tooling Business at Progress Software Corporation since January 2017. Mr. Sweis served as a Chief Transformation Officer at Progress Software Corporation since May 2016. Mr. Sweis works closely with the Progress product organization to craft and deliver on the strategic technological direction for the entire company, with particular focus on Progress Digital Factory. He also lead Progress's internal digital transformation effort, ensuring its systems and processes are in a state of continuous improvement. He served as Vice President of Engineering for Progress. He served as Vice President of Engineering at Telerik AD. and served as its Chief Technical Officer. Mr. Sweis joined Telerik AD in 2010, when Telerik acquired the software testing provider ArtOfTest, which he co-founded and where served as its Chief Technology Officer. He has more than 15 years of experience in software development, serving as a software architect and advising companies, including Microsoft, on software development practices and software quality assurance. Mr. Sweis received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
