It wasn't impersonal. There was a genuine interest to learn about not only my skills and proficiencies, but also my goals and my attitude. They wanted to ensure they could foster MY goals in their culture, not just whether I was a worthy candidate that THEY wanted to hire.
They encourage a potential employee to actively explore their areas of interest and give them a platform to learn and grow along with them.
