Our local team is great. I worry about our managers in other locations and their lack of communication

Culture and environment are good. We have formed a bond with our local team and we do what we need to do to get the work done.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Management again is the main concern. Our managers are several hundred miles away and typically we do not chat with them unless there are issues. They fail to let us know pertinent issues with the organization.
