Ronald G. Smith — Senior EVP & Regional President of Mid-America Region at Regions Financial Corporation

Mr. Ronald G. Smith, also known as Ronnie, has been Senior Executive Vice President and Mid-America Region President at Regions Financial Corporation since 2006. Mr. Smith serves as Senior Executive Vice President and Mid-America Region President at Regions Bank. Mr. Smith served as Southwest Region President of Regions Bank at Regions Financial Corporation. He served in senior management roles at Regions Bank and AmSouth Bank including as the area executive for Mississippi/North Louisiana. During his career, he worked as a credit analyst and a relationship manager. He also held leadership roles, including corporate division manager, city president and area executive for Mississippi/North Louisiana prior to assuming his current role in 2006. Mr. Smith earned a bachelor's degree in Economics and Accounting from Mississippi College and graduated from The Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University as well as the KPMG Commercial Banking Institute. He serves on the boards of the Metro Jackson Chamber of Commerce, Andrew Jackson Council Boy Scouts of America, INROADS, Baptist Health Systems, Mississippi Bankers Association, Mississippi Higher Education Corporation and Region's Foundation. He is also active in the Jackson Rotary Club.
