William E. Horton — Senior EVP & Head of Commercial Banking at Regions Financial Corporation

Mr. William E. Horton, also known as Bill, has been Head of Commercial Banking Group at Regions Bank since June 22, 2016 and serves as its Senior Executive Vice President. Mr. Horton has been Head of Commercial Banking at Regions Financial Corporation since July 11, 2016 and serves as its Senior Executive Vice President. Mr. Horton served as South Region President at Regions Financial Corporation since June 2014. He served as North Central Alabama Area President at Regions Financial Corporation from 2008 to June 2014. Mr. Horton joined the AmSouth Management Training Program in 1974 and served throughout the bank's branch system. He has managed several areas in both Consumer and Business Services throughout his career including the BankCard, Consumer Lending and Business Banking departments. He has also managed the Consumer Loan and Deposit Product Management teams. Mr. Horton organized and headed the bank's Business Loan, Consumer Loan and Direct Loan Centers along with the Home Equity Lending department. He served as Head of Mortgage Banking and Business Banking prior to leading the Community Banking segment of Regions' Business Services Group. Mr. Horton is involved in a number of community activities, including serving on the board of the Birmingham Kiwanis Club, the Birmingham Educational Foundation, Railroad Park Foundation, A. G. Gaston Boys and Girls Club, Birmingham Business Alliance and the Lakeshore Foundation. He is past co-chair of the Central Alabama United Way Campaign and Board Chair of REV Birmingham. He holds a bachelor's degree from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
