Mr. Thomas M. Pierno, also known as Tom has been the Chief Financial Officer of Rosetta Stone, Inc. since May 2, 2012 and also serves as its Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Pierno served as Chief Financial Officer of Vertis Inc. (alternate name, Vertis Communications) since 2011. Prior to Vertis, he served as Vice President, Financial Planning and Treasury at Comverse Technology where he was responsible for worldwide budgets, forecasts, long-term financial planning and special projects, along with cash management and treasury operations. During his 11-year tenure at AOL, he served as Senior Vice President and Controller. Prior to becoming Controller, he held financial leadership positions in AOL Access and AOL International. He founded the Internal Audit function at AOL and also worked on strategic acquisitions such as ICQ and Netscape Communications. Before AOL, Mr. Pierno served as Chief Financial Officer at World Color Press. In addition he served as Director ??? Planning and Reporting at Paramount Communications Inc. and began his career as a Certified Public Accountant at Ernst & Young. He graduated summa cum laude with an MBA and BBA in Accounting from Pace University.
