Mr. Gerard W. Fay, also known as Gerry, has been Chief Business Officer and Executive Vice President of Sanmina Corporation since July 27, 2017. Mr. Fay served as the President of Avnet Electronics Marketing at Avnet, Inc. since October 1, 2013 and served as its Senior Vice President since February 2013. Mr. Fay served as a Member of Executive Board Avnet, Inc. Mr. Fay is responsible for the operating Avnet group's strategic direction, day-to-day operations and global performance. He serves as the President of Worldwide at Avnet Electronics Marketing, Inc. He served as the Chief Global Logistics Officer & Operations Officer at Avnet, Inc. from July 4, 2011 to October 2013 and served as its Vice President from November 26, 2012 respectively. He served as Senior Vice President at Avnet, Inc. since February 2013 where he had been responsible for global warehousing, semiconductor programming and integration center services and operations. He joined Avnet in 2005. Mr. Fay served as President of Memec Americas and Senior Vice President of Memec Group Holdings Limited since April 21, 2005. He served as President of Memec United at Memec Group Holdings Limited from October 2003 to April 21, 2005 and served as its Senior Vice President of Operations from October 2001 to April 21, 2005. He served as Unit President of The Memec Group since October 2003. Mr. Fay has handled a range of large scale, complex projects, such as the successful integration of Bell Microproducts, which Avnet acquired in 2010. He served as Group Vice President of Operations of Memec since 2003. He joined Memec in 1996. He held numerous strategic roles, including chief operations officer for Memec's supply-chain and logistics group and chief operating officer for ATLAS Services, a division of VEBA Electronics. At Avnet, Mr. Fay was named Senior Vice President of Global Strategic Accounts for Avnet United and created the Avnet Velocity global supply-chain practice at Avnet Electronics Marketing. In that role, Mr. Fay led the expansion of the key accounts program designed to provide global support services to Avnet's top customer base. He created Avnet's global supply-chain solutions business to drive supply chain thought leadership across the electronic equipment ecosystem. He serves as an executive board member for the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix. He served as Director of Components Direct since January 2012. Mr. Fay has broad global knowledge about Memec and business partners and has made an impact at Memec during his tenure in various management roles. He was responsible for the development of the business model for Memec United, the global logistics and EMS department. Prior to joining Memec, in 1996, Mr. Fay served as Director of Manufacturing Engineering of McDonnell Douglas from 1991 to 1995. He was responsible for the development of the business model for Memec United, the global logistics and EMS department. Mr. Fay was recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine on its list of Pros to Know for 2012. Mr. Fay holds a B.S. in finance from the University of Redlands. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Redlands, Redlands, Calif.
