He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of South Carolina Community Bank, also in Columbia, from May 2000 to July 2002. Mr. Bennett served as Economic Development Director of First Citizens Bank, from February 2000 to May 2000. From December 1998 to February 2000, he served as Senior Vice President - Professional Banking of First Citizens Bank and from December 1994 to December 1998, he served as Senior Vice President - Community Banking at First Citizens. He served as a Director of Community Banking, at First Citizens from December 1994 to December 1998. Mr. Bennett serves as a Director of Palmetto Health since January 2015. He has been a Director of Scana Corp. since 1997 and its holding Company Public Service Company of North Carolina Incorporated since 1997.
