Jeffrey B. Archie — Senior Vice President at SCANA Corporation

Mr. Jeffrey B. Archie, also known as Jeff, has been a Senior Vice President of SCANA Corp. since March 2010. Mr. Archie has been Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer of South Carolina Electric & Gas Company since 2009. He is responsible for all nuclear matters, including the day-to-day management of nuclear operations, as well as the overall leadership and strategic direction for existing nuclear operations and new nuclear construction for SCE&G. He has accountability for all nuclear matters, including the day-to-day management of nuclear operations as well as the overall leadership and strategic direction for existing nuclear operations and new nuclear construction for South Carolina Electric & Gas Company. Mr. Archie is a 30-year veteran of the nuclear industry. He has been with SCE&G since 1978. Mr. Archie served as Senior Vice President of Nuclear Operations at South Carolina Electric & Gas Company since August 2009 and served as its vice president of nuclear plant operations from March 1, 2008 to 2009. He began his career at Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station. Throughout his tenure at V.C. Summer Station, he held several managerial positions with increasing leadership responsibilities, including General Manager of Engineering, General Manager of Nuclear Plant Operations and Vice President of Nuclear Plant Operations, where his duties included the overall leadership of the station operations, engineering, training and support organizations. As a supporter of community organizations, Mr. Archie was Campaign Chairman for the Fairfield County United Way since 2006 and was the Area Wide Campaign Chairman for United Way of the Midlands since 2007. He has been a Director of Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited since March 16, 2016. He serves on the Midlands Technical College QuickJobs Advisory Committee, American Red Cross Regional Advisory Council ' Palmetto SC Region, Palmetto Conservation Foundation Board (chair), University of South Carolina Mechanical Engineering Industrial Advisory Board (chair), University of South Carolina Board of Visitors and the University of South Carolina Parent's Advisory Council. He is a Member of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations Future of Learning Strategy Board, the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations Academy Council, the University of South Carolina Mechanical Engineering Advisory Committee and the Nuclear Energy Institute Nuclear Strategic Issues Advisory. Mr. Archie is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1981.
